Softball Recap: Boscobel Comes Up Short

Boscobel extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-11 in the process. They came up short against the Iowa-Grant Panthers, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 two weeks ago.

As for Iowa-Grant, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.

For Iowa-Grant's part, Lakyn Holman was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave Holman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Riemenapp, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Boscobel is set to take on their familiar foe Mineral Point at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Iowa-Grant will challenge rival Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
