Volleyball Game Preview: Danvers Falcons vs. Andover Golden Warriors

The Danvers Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Andover Golden Warriors at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Andover took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Danvers, who comes in off a win.

Danvers took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Beverly by a score of 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Danvers was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 15-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Andover faced Chelmsford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Golden Warriors came up short against the Lions, falling 3-0. The Golden Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Andover took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-22, 26-24.

Danvers' win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Andover, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Danvers couldn't quite get it done against Andover in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
