Soccer Recap: Mansfield Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, Mansfield was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Lake Ridge Eagles, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

Mansfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Lake Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Mansfield and Lake Ridge should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Mansfield will square off against Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 335 places (97 vs. 432). Meanwhile, Lake Ridge (ranked 58th) will meet North Crowley (ranked 388th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
