Lake Stevens extended their winning streak to eight on Friday, bumping them up to 8-0. They took their game with ease, bagging a 49-6 win over the Kamiak Knights. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 31 points or more this season.

Jayvian Ferrell produced another solid performance rushing for 106 yards and three TDs on only seven carries. Colten Fink was another key back, rushing for 105 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lake Stevens was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 312 rushing yards. They rushed for 103 more rushing yards than Kamiak's also-impressive total of 209.

As for Kamiak, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 177th, while Lake Stevens is ranked second).

When it comes to explaining why Kamiak lost, don't look at Jayden Harris. Despite the final result, he rushed for 182 yards and one score. Harris' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lake Stevens will square off against rival Arlington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kamiak is set to challenge their familiar foe Glacier Peak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
