Baseball Game Preview: Concord Bears vs. Mt. Diablo Red Devils

For the second straight game, Concord will face off against Mt. Diablo. The Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Red Devils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Concord is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Mt. Diablo get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. The Bears haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Aaron Hunt was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Max Dashner was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Concord always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mt. Diablo is on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19. As for Concord, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 7-15.
