For the second straight game, Franklin Regional will face off against Plum. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin Regional is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Franklin Regional is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since May 21, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against Plum, falling 12-5. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

For Plum's part, they got a great performance from Braden Kemmerer as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Kemmerer has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Enzo Mele was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Anthony Jump also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win (which was Plum's sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Franklin Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 10-4.

Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Franklin Regional has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .454. However, it's not like Plum struggles in that department as they've averaged .466. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
