Softball Recap: Washington-Marion Takes a Loss

Washington-Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the DeRidder Dragons, falling 22-3. If the Charging Indians were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Dragons when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Washington-Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for DeRidder, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-10.

Coming up, Washington-Marion is taking a road trip to challenge Singer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Singer has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.25 runs per game on average), something Washington-Marion will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for DeRidder, they will square off against Barbe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
