Baseball Recap: Bingham Comes Up Short

Bingham and Corner Canyon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Bingham had to settle for second. They fell 10-5 to the Chargers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Miners, who until this game were averaging 3.93 runs allowed.

Bingham saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Norris, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Porter Larsen was another, going 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Bingham and nudges their season record down to 18-10. As for Corner Canyon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-14.

Bingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corner Canyon, they will square off against Lone Peak at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
