Franklinton had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 33-17 win over the Louisburg Warriors on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their three-point performance the game before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Franklinton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keith James, who threw for 165 yards and three touchdowns. A Durham helped James out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.

He was just one part of a punishing run game: Franklinton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Franklinton's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Ethan Paramore and Omari Taylor. Taylor is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least seven every time he's taken the field this season.

Although Louisburg took the loss, they still got scores from Jaylen Pender and Carlos Person.

Franklinton will square off against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklinton is facing Wakefield at the right time seeing as Wakefield is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Louisburg, they are on the road again on Friday to play Wake Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Wake Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week as team gave up five on Friday.
