Softball Recap: Claymont Takes a Loss

The Claymont Mustangs came up short against the Marlington Dukes on Monday, falling 16-4.

Claymont's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Marlington, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Claymont and Marlington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Mustangs (ranked 213th) will meet Fairless (ranked 480th) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Marlington will take on Minerva at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (30 vs. 422).
