Baseball Recap: Arroyo Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Arroyo's offense. They fell 3-0 to the South El Monte Eagles on Monday. The Knights have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Noah Fonseca spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on one hit and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Arroyo's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-1. As for South El Monte, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Arroyo nor South El Monte have any future games scheduled.
