Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy Takes a Loss

Chesterton Academy kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a hard 40-25 fall against Rochester Math and Science Academy. Chesterton Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured eight losses in a row dating back to last season.

Ilyas Hassan had a dynamite game for Rochester Math and Science Academy, putting up 20 points. Walied Jeylani was another key player, posting seven points.

The win made it two in a row for Rochester Math and Science Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Chesterton Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rochester Math and Science Academy, they will face off against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown/Cannon Valley Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
