Basketball Recap: Hudson Takes a Loss

Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 64-55 to the Crystal River Pirates. The Cobras were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crystal River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jake Yost, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 18 points and five assists. Yost continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ej Jenkins, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points and eight rebounds.

Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Crystal River, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Hudson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 84-67 win against Weeki Wachee on the 20th. Crystal River and Sarasota Military Academy will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th.
