Softball Recap: Willamina Extends Road Winning Streak to Eight

Willamina made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Taft, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Tigers on Wednesday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Willamina pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Taft, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Willamina and Taft will both be playing Jefferson the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Tigers will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
