Riverside is 7-2 against Irvin since November of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Riverside Rangers will host the Irvin Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Riverside fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Ysleta on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to the Indians 49-45. While the Rangers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Indians 14-10 in the first quarter.

The match pitted two dominant forwards against one another in Marcus Jauregui and Azaiah Thompson. Thompson had a great game and dropped a double-double with 31 points and ten boards. Meanwhile, Jauregui did his best for the losing side, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, Irvin was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Bowie at home by a 63-45 margin.

Riverside's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Irvin, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-13.

Everything went Riverside's way against Irvin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Riverside made off with a 63-37 victory. Does Riverside have another victory up their sleeve, or will Irvin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
