Volleyball Recap: Lakewood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Burlington-Edison Tigers. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lakewood started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-17.

Lakewood's record now sits at 1-8. As for Burlington-Edison, their win ended a four-match drought on the road and puts them at 5-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lakewood will challenge rival Bellingham at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Burlington-Edison is set to take on their familiar foe Lynden at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
