Football Recap: Lubbock Westerners vs. Caprock Longhorns

The dominant performance gave De La Cruz a new career-high in rushing yards. Xavier Vargas handled things on the ground, rushing for 86 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Lubbock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Caprock, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6.
Lubbock will host Amarillo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Amarillo knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Lubbock likes a good challenge.
