Soccer Recap: North Fort Myers Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Fort Myers can now relate to. They fell just short of the Ponte Vedra Sharks by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Red Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sharks earlier this season, when they won 4-0.

North Fort Myers' goal came courtesy of Hannah Busenbark, who's now up to 57 this season.

North Fort Myers' defeat dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Ponte Vedra, they pushed their record up to 16-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

North Fort Myers does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ponte Vedra, they will square off against Lourdes Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lourdes Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Ponte Vedra surely won't give up without a fight.
