Volleyball Recap: Newburgh Free Academy Takes a Loss

Newburgh Free Academy was the 3-0 winner over Kingston when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Goldbacks fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Goldbacks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-14 in the first set.

Newburgh Free Academy started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 14-25, 21-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-10.

Newburgh Free Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Kingston, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Newburgh Free Academy nor Kingston have any future games scheduled.
