Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Hayden's Fourth in Last Five Outings

The Hayden Wildcats earned a 2-0 win over the Junction City/St. Xavier Bluejays on Saturday.

Hayden easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-16.

Hailey Schmidtlein paced Hayden's offense, picking up nine kills. Schmidtlein got some help from Blakely Walter and her 23 assists.

Hayden is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. As for Junction City/St. Xavier, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4-4.

Hayden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Emporia on the 4th. As for Junction City/St. Xavier, they have also already played their next match, a 0-0 draw against Topeka on the 4th.
