Softball Recap: Centerville Takes a Loss

If Centerville was feeling good fresh off their 22-7 takedown of West St. Mary last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Centerville lost 16-1 to the Erath Bobcats on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 17-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Centerville's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Erath, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-12.

Coming up, Centerville will square off against Patterson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Erath, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Erath Bobcats duke it out with Breaux Bridge Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Their pitchers better be ready for this one: Breaux Bridge has averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
