Softball Game Preview: Clare Pioneers vs. Harrison Hornets

Clare has gone a perfect 4-0 against Harrison recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pioneers will welcome the Hornets at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Clare has 15 straight wins, Harrison has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Clare lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Pinconning, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Pioneers blew past the Spartans 12-2 on Monday. The Pioneers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 20 contests by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Harrison lost 16-1 to St. Louis on Thursday.

Clare pushed their record up to 22-1 with the victory, which was their 22nd straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Clare's way against Harrison in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Clare made off with a 13-0 win. Will the Pioneers repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
