Recap: Coweta Tigers vs. Will Rogers College Ropers
It was a good run, but the Coweta Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Will Rogers College by a score of 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Cooper, who scored 15 points. Caden Garrett was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Will Rogers College's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jay Oates iii led the charge by scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Oates iii has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dkarrion Titsworth, who scored 16 points.
Coweta's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Will Rogers College, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coweta will take on McAlester at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McAlester is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Will Rogers College, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Durant at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
