Basketball Recap: Hampton Christian Academy Picks Up 16th Straight Win at Home

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Hampton Christian Academy's strategy against Denbigh Baptist Christian on Tuesday. The Hampton Christian Academy Warriors put the hurt on the Denbigh Baptist Christian Minutemen with a sharp 53-29 victory. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Hampton Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayla Crosby, who posted 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Crosby's evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mahdy Sigler, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Hampton Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Denbigh Baptist Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. That was a full 51.7% of Denbigh Baptist Christian's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khalia Boyd, who posted five points and seven rebounds.
