Sherman hadn't done well against Denison recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Sherman Bearcats walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Denison Yellow Jackets. That's more bragging rights for the Bearcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

They hit Denison with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Marisol Castaneda, Celeste Alfaro, 9Th Grade, and Molly Dollar.

Sherman's win bumped their record up to 8-6-1. As for Denison, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Sherman (ranked 312th) will meet Lovejoy (ranked 20th) at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Denison will challenge Anna at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday down 310 places (490 vs. 180).
