Basketball Recap: North Lenoir Hawks vs. Greene Central Rams
North Lenoir lost against Greene Central back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The North Lenoir Hawks fell just short of the Greene Central Rams by a score of 41-38. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 10-6 in the first quarter.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ta'Sheena Lynch, who posted 12 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassidee Fraser, who scored ten points and five assists.
It was another big night for An'nysha Wooten, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds for Greene Central. Wooten is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games she's played.
