 Lake Travis won the last time they faced Austin, and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Lake Travis Cavaliers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-1  win over the Austin Maroons.
  Julianna Rodriguez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 16 consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Lake Travis' victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jayden Cortez, who  went 3-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.  Ryan Stauffer was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Lake Travis is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record  this season.
