Basketball Game Preview: Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs vs. Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies

The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Bloom-Carroll played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 58-46 victory over Liberty Union.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Johnstown-Monroe on Saturday. They blew past Utica 60-35. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Johnnies had established a 20 point advantage.

Bloom-Carroll's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Johnstown-Monroe, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Bloom-Carroll came out on top in a nail-biter against Johnstown-Monroe in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 44-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bloom-Carroll since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
