Football Game Preview: Okolona Chieftains vs. Hatley Tigers

The Okolona Chieftains will challenge the Hatley Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Okolona made easy work of Nettleton and carried off a 27-6 victory. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Hatley challenged West Lowndes on Thursday. The Tigers snuck past the Panthers with a 20-16 victory. Those 20 points were actually the fewest the Tigers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

A big part of Hatley's win came down to the chemistry between Chris Foster and his top target Tikiyu Buckingham. Foster threw for 150 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing while Buckingham picked up 130 receiving yards. Those 130 receiving yards gave Buckingham a new career-high.

Okolona's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Hatley, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
