Mansfield won the last time they faced Birdville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers won by a set and slipped past the Hawks 2-1. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-28), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Kylie Meche paced Mansfield's offense, picking up 11 kills. Meche got some help from Saydi Walker and her 15 assists.

Mansfield's record is now 17-1. As for Birdville, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-5.

Mansfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Brennan on the 23rd. As for Birdville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Midlothian on the 23rd.
