Recap: Boron Bobcats vs. Desert Scorpions        
        
		
            
 Boron won against California City  last Tuesday with ten  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Boron Bobcats put the hurt on the Desert Scorpions with a sharp  10-3 victory. Considering Boron has won three contests by more than six  runs this season,  Friday's blowout was nothing new.
  Braeden Wolfe was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 17 batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned runs off   four  hits. Wolfe has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. Wolfe was also solid in the batter's box,  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Andrew Gartica was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4.  Colton Boyett was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 The  win  got Boron back to even at 4-4. As for Desert, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
 Boron will head out on the road to  take on  University Prep at 3:15  p.m.  on Monday. University Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 8.5  runs per game this season. As for Desert, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on California City at 3:15  p.m.  on April 2nd.
