Baseball Recap: Tarpon Springs Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Tarpon Springs's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Weeki Wachee Hornets on Monday. The Spongers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Tarpon Springs' loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Weeki Wachee, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tarpon Springs will take on Sports Leadership & Management at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Tarpon Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Weeki Wachee, they are taking a road trip to take on Springstead at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th. Weeki Wachee's pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so Springstead's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
