Soccer Game Preview: Rowlett vs. Sachse

The Rowlett Eagles will head out to challenge the Sachse Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rowlett has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 15 goals over their last three matchups.

If Rowlett beats Sachse with four goals on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Rowlett came out on top against North Garland by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Raiders are ranked 587th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Sachse was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Naaman Forest.

Rowlett's win bumped their record up to 11-5-2. As for Sachse, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Rowlett beat Sachse 2-0 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Rowlett since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
