Football Game Preview: Crane Mustangs vs. Prairie City/Burnt River

The Crane Mustangs will head out to face off against Prairie City/Burnt River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Crane will be strutting in after a victory while Prairie City/Burnt River will be coming in after a loss.

Crane was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Pine Eagle on Friday. The Mustangs simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Spartans 70-6. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Prairie City/Burnt River was beaten by Union 48-6 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Prairie City/Burnt River can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Union is ranked sixth).

Crane's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Prairie City/Burnt River, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Crane against Prairie City/Burnt River in their previous meeting back in October of 2017, as the squad secured a 64-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
