Softball Recap: Livingston Academy Has No Trouble Against Cumberland County

Livingston Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Cumberland County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Livingston Academy Wildcats were the clear victor by an 11-3 margin over the Cumberland County Panthers on Monday. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered an 8-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Bailey Hutchison, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. Kendall Simpson was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Livingston Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Cumberland County, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Looking ahead, Livingston Academy will square off against Upperman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Livingston Academy is facing Upperman at the right time seeing as Upperman is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Cumberland County, they will take on Adair County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
