Softball Recap: Dickinson Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lincoln on Wednesday, Dickinson came back down to earth. The Rams lost 23-8 to the Ferris Bulldogs on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Jayelin Severino was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ariel Rivera, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

Dickinson's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Ferris, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dickinson will head out to challenge Memorial at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ferris, they will take on Union City at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs are facing the Soaring Eagles at the right time seeing as the Soaring Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
