Baseball Game Preview: Independence Falcons vs. Ridgeview Wolf Pack

For the second straight game, Independence will face off against Ridgeview. The Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Wolf Pack at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Independence is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Independence came up short against Ridgeview on Monday, falling 12-4.

For Ridgeview's part, Ben Castro was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Castro was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Ridgeview let Martin Castro and Adrian Sanchez run wild. Castro scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Sanchez scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave Sanchez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keisyun Allen, who scored a run and stole a base.

The win snapped Ridgeview's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-6 record. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
