Basketball Recap: De Soto Wildcats vs. Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds
De Soto lost against Shawnee Heights back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The De Soto Wildcats fell 66-57 to the Shawnee Heights Thunderbirds.
Deacon Pomeroy was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds for Shawnee Heights. Pomeroy's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Daquan Lee, who made all 5 shots he took to post 12 points and six rebounds.
De Soto's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Shawnee Heights, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
De Soto will host Turner on Friday. As for Shawnee Heights, they will challenge Leavenworth at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
