Softball Recap: Hanover Area Takes a Loss

Hanover Area lost against Berwick back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawkeyes fell 15-11 to the Bulldogs. The Hawkeyes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison Ponko made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Natalie Weidner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Hanover Area's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Berwick, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Hanover Area didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Wyoming Area on the 3rd. As for Berwick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Holy Redeemer on the 3rd.
