Basketball Recap: Westerville Central Takes a Loss

Westerville Central was the 74-53 winner over Hilliard Darby when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Westerville Central Warhawks fell to the Hilliard Darby Panthers 50-46. The match marked the Warhawks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Westerville Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Hilliard Darby, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westerville Central will head out to face off against Central Crossing at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westerville Central is facing Central Crossing at the right time seeing as Central Crossing is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hilliard Darby, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Hilliard Darby Panthers take on the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hilliard Darby will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Thomas Worthington will have lost three straight heading into Friday's matchup.
