Basketball Recap: Tiftarea Academy Skates Past Valwood with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tiftarea Academy). They claimed a resounding 51-17 victory over the Valwood Valiants. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Tiftarea Academy's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Valwood, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tiftarea Academy has already played their next contest (against Deerfield-Windsor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Valwood will challenge Terrell Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Terrell Academy will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something Valwood surely won't give up without a fight.
