There's no place like home for Taylor, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Mainland Buccaneers on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Taylor never let Mainland on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-23, 25-14.

Jaelyn Campusano paced Taylor's offense, picking up 13 kills. Campusano got some help from Emely Cardenas and her 17 assists. Cardenas was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Mainland lost, don't look at Krista Greco. Despite the final result, she had ten digs.

The victory got Taylor back to even at 1-1. As for Mainland, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Taylor will take on Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mainland, they will square off against Matanzas at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The contest will give the Buccaneers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
