Basketball Recap: Reed-Custer Takes a Loss

Reed-Custer lost against Herscher back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Reed-Custer Comets fell to the Herscher Tigers 44-39. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Herscher was led to victory by Jacob Mccree and Tanner Jones. Mccree dropped a double-double on 11 points and 19 rebounds, while Jones dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Mccree a new career-high in blocks (six). Another player making a difference was Austin Buckley, who posted seven points.

Reed-Custer's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Herscher, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-15.

Reed-Custer has already played their next game (against Peotone), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Herscher, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 60-49 victory against Coal City on the 7th.
