Football Recap: Darron Parry's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Forsyth over Lanier + How To Watch

North Forsyth was the 33-20 winner over Lanier when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raiders fell 26-17 to the Longhorns on Friday. The Raiders gained 100 more yards on the day, but it was the Longhorns that made the best use of them.

North Forsyth lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Darron Parry, who rushed for 118 yards, and also picked up 34 receiving yards.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed nine in total. All came from Lucas Ricker: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points.

Lanier's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Vanden Bos, who picked up 40 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 62 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Dominic Larocca, who threw for 162 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 passes.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Forsyth fell to 2-1. As for Lanier, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

North Forsyth and Lanier will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Raiders see the field they'll take on South Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th. As for Lanier, their break will end when they face Dacula at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
