Drew Marks Goes Supernova in Smyrna Win

Starting off the list is Smyrna's Drew Marks, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Marks threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries. Those 79 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Smyrna's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. Marks and Smyrna will welcome Cape Henlopen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Malik Bell's rushing tear continued on Saturday as he dropped his eighth-straight game with 126+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry.

Sussex Central pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Bell and Sussex Central will challenge Dover at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Henriquez Came Up Big in Smyrna's 28-7 Victory

Another Smyrna player making an appearance on this list is Phoenix Henriquez. He picked up 102 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Smyrna: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two receiving touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

For the year, Henriquez has caught 8 touchdowns while averaging 90.3 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had three receiving touchdowns.
