Lincoln Park Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Tradition Prep Pirates a 25-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Greyhounds haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Lincoln Park Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Kendal Cunningham and Erica Clairveaux, who racked up seven sacks between them.

Coming up, Lincoln Park Academy will face off against Westwood at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tradition Prep, they will square off against South Fork at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tradition Prep is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
