Hershey gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Palmyra Cougars an 8-0 shutout. The win was just business as usual For Hershey, who after one games remain undefeated this season.

Hershey let Blake Umberger and Seth Wildasin loose on the outfield. Umberger scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Wildasin scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was CJ Clayton, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Palmyra's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hershey will face off against Conrad Weiser at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Palmyra, they will head out on the road to take on Manheim Central at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
