Baseball Recap: ALA - Queen Creek Victorious

ALA - Queen Creek came out on top against Crismon on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Patriots took their game against the Rattlers 10-5. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Rattlers on Monday, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Brasser Crumpton and Juan Pablo Altamirano did most of the damage at the plate: Crumpton fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3, while Altamirano went 1-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those two home runs gave Crumpton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Nielson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: ALA - Queen Creek lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crismon only launched one home run.

ALA - Queen Creek's win bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Crismon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-6 record this season.

When ALA - Queen Creek and Crismon next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Patriots will try to stop Estrella Foothills' three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Crismon will square off against Valley Christian and their ten-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Rattlers 3.5, the Trojans 2.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
