Baseball Recap: West Comes Up Short

West saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell just short of the South Hills Huskies by a score of 4-2.

Pemasa Mateaki made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for South Hills, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

West didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 loss against Redondo Union on the 16th. As for South Hills, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Los Altos on the 16th.
