Recap: Evansville North Huskies vs. Washington Hatchets        
        
		
            
 The Evansville North Huskies's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a   44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Washington. While losing is never fun, Evansville North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 90th, while Washington is ranked 28th).
 Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Libby Blythe, who  scored 11 points along with six  rebounds and two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddy Knies, who  scored seven points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals.
 Leading Washington to victory were  Hayleigh Cummins and  Katie Reed.  Cummins  scored nine points along with eight  rebounds, while  Reed  scored 14 points along with seven  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Aubrey Frank, who  scored eight points.
 Evansville North bumped their record down to 13-7 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Washington, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evansville North won't have much time to rest: their next  contest is against Evansville Memorial at 7:00  p.m.  on January 18th. Evansville Memorial is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.4  points per game. As for Washington, they will be playing at home against South Spencer at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
